Best Way To Get Relief From Anxiety

For those of you who are dealing with stress, the last thing you probably want is more things to do, but if your stress is keeping you from enjoying yourself or from performing daily tasks, it is time to seek actively for an efficient solution. The good news is that you don’t have to be trained in ancient Eastern meditative practices to get some great quick results. Most people can manage their stress by learning simple relaxation breathing, visualization, small diet changes or by using essential oils. Keep reading to learn more about your different stress management options.

  1. If you are experiencing a serious anxiety, or panic attack, you should remember to breathe properly in order to calm down. We need to remember that oxygen is our fuel and often when we are panicking our body shortens its breath, cutting off our fuel supply. By consciously bringing attention to the breathing cycle we can return many of the body’s functions back to normal. Remember, to lengthen your exhalation, in order to relieve your anxiety a bit more. The wave of relaxation will travel through your body as you rhythmically breathe and regain control.

  2. Before you hit the sheets at night and first thing in the morning, you should try rubbing your head, feet and hands with oils such as lavender, vetiver, wild orange, or another blend. These will address various kinds of stress, focus, relaxation, and mood issues. Many essential oils such as peppermint or wintergreen based blends like Past Tense and Deep Blue can be applied to areas of pain and inflammation, relaxing the body and the mind. Breathe deeply as you apply the oils and enjoy the effect of the aromatherapy as you apply the oils topically. Each time you try a specific blend of essential oils, it will address slightly different things in the body, so it is wise to try several different oils if you aren’t getting desired results. Doing small things like this can help to decrease your anxiety.

  3. Here’s a simple visualization I have done with my 10 year old that anyone can do in minutes. When she was very stressed once, I told her I was going to give her a hug and then have her do something to help herself. These were my simple instructions: “Close your eyes. Imagine that all the stress in your body is a color. See your body filled with this color. Now imagine that from the top of your head down to the bottom of your feet this color begins to drain out of your body. It flows out of your feet and into the ground and is safely taken by the earth.” I asked her to breathe deeply as she saw it flow out of her body and then let me know when it is all gone. Within one minute she was calmed and remained calm the rest of the day. I have used this exercise for myself with great success also, so I think it will help many of you! You will have to find your own hug though J.

  4. One of the easiest things that you can do if you are in a battle with anxiety is to remove sugar and refined carbohydrates from your diet. Anxiety can be triggered by the fluctuations in the levels of sugar in your blood, both low and high. These surges are one of the triggers of anxiety and panic attacks. Choose healthy replacements for sweets such as berries, celery with nut butter, or a Trim Shake that is sold at my online store below.

Stress is something you will want to learn to manage if it is keeping you from living an abundant life. Try the tips you just read and read more about stress management on my blog. You will eventually find methods that work well for you and allow you to live in balance with your stress.

Remember the first step is all about finding relief. Focus on how to quickly relieve stress, anxiety, and pain. I use a daily routine of essential oils like Balance oil on my feet, Serenity on my chest, and OnGaurd diffused aromatically. I try to have a quiet time of prayer and meditation at least once a day. I will often do simple visualizations at that time. Holding the boundary that you are important is very difficult, but it is essential. These stress relieving methods will help you keep your mental and emotional health a priority and keep your days stress free.

You can get the essential oils and protein shakes that I mentioned here .

 RealTalk |BodyTalk Testimonial

"Moments of joy returning to families!! Here's a testimonial from Session #2 for J., age 8, dealing with Autism. I did a distance Bodytalk session one night after he went to bed. I shared results from first session last week. Here's what happened this time: "This is so cool. So last night before you called, J. had a super bad night and ended up going to bed crying and mad because he wouldn't do his homework that was taking 2 hours to do like 8 problems. It was discouraging and my parents were exhausted and sad watching the whole ordeal. BUT... I woke up at 3am to find J. standing by my bedside and he said "mommy" and gave me a big hug.... Amazing right??? It was like an out of body experience! Then he laid down by me and snuggled his head towards me and let me rub his back which never happens- then he looked at me with the most genuine deep smile that came straight from his soul and laughed and his body kind of got the shivers when he layed back down and he giggled again. I haven't seen him smile like that for a long time - it's like his old self was shining through. It made me think of how you said his cells were doing the happy dance and thought maybe he just couldn't contain himself.... it was seriously so amazing and beautiful! I also remembered asking him at 3am something about what he was doing up and he said something about doing homework which I ignored and just snuggled him but when I woke up I found his homework COMPLETED on the counter! Seriously so amazing.... Thank you for being so in tune to help heal my family- I keep thinking it's going to be baby steps but instead they are giant leaps!!! Hugs!"
